Guarda do Embaú is part of the city of Palhoça, 50km south of the capital Florianópolis, and it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Brazil and an excellent surfing destination. It has a very large natural diversity of beach, river and ecological trails, and its village offers leisure options, restaurants and bars. It is a destination frequented both by young people in search of agitation, and by families in search of peace. The beach is separated from the village by the Madre River, which makes the place even more charming. The crossing can be done by boat or on foot when the river is low.
